What is it about the 4th of July that brings out the pyro in so many of us? On our way to get fireworks, Hayes was more excited about seeing the "moos" in the pasture next to the fireworks stand than focusing on the task at hand! So with our Patio Pack (which amounted to a bunch of fountains, smoke bombs, sparklers, and Pop-Its) in hand we headed home and prayed that the rain wouldn't come as forecasted! But it did, and then Norman cancelled their fireworks display....Hayes' fireworks experience hung on our $20 Patio Pack!

Needless to say, Hayes' first fireworks didn't quite go with a BANG!
Aunt Mandy helped Hayes explore the fireworks!

Thanks for the help Daddy!

Hayes quickly had enough of the amazing fireworks display and went back inside with his true love..."choo choos"! (The rest of us pyro stayed outside and lit the rest of our fireworks and played with sparklers) Hayes never really sticks with one toy for very long, until he found the Little People Train Track! He started playing with this while we were all eating dinner around 7:30 and continued playing with it until he went to bed at 10:00!
He is so smart! He is using the napkin to make a tunnel like the
one that he plays with at the library!
I hope you and your family had a wonderful (and hopefully not rainy) 4th of July! Maybe next year we will actually get to see some real fireworks!

I Love that baby! :)
