Love Will Keep Us: Easter Times 3!

Our Easter was a combination of 3 different events! We started on Saturday at Nei Nei and Poppy's house. Nei Nei made brunch and we got to see all the family. Aunt Em even made it in from Dallas. Hayes got two Easter baskets filled with goodies. One had mini balls in it that Hayes loved throwing around and the other had garden tools in it to help Poppy in the garden on Fridays. Later we went outside to hunt Easter eggs. This was officially the first time that Hayes had ever done this. We did several rounds with me (and Uncle Justin) hiding the eggs and then Hayes would find them with our hints. On the last round he did great and even found the really hard eggs that I "camouflaged" in the backyard.

If only I could figure out how to get my hands in these garden gloves...

Round 2 began at church with Mommy and Daddy. For some reason getting into our Sunday best was not the easiest thing. Lately Hayes has been very verbal and picky about the clothes that he wears! So I had to begin telling him that we are going to wear a blue and white stripped shirt and some pants. All was well until the pants came on. He finally settled down (after many tears) and then we were off to church. When we got home we ate with Granna and my Meme. At this point it was pouring, so no Easter egg hunting outdoors. Hayes got his third Easter basket loaded with bunny ears, a whistle that looked like duck lips and other treasures.

Round 3 happened at Sari, Cade, and Rhett's house. Hayes adores them all so we thought it would be fun to get the boys together and let them run crazy at Sari's house! We hid about 50 million Easter eggs in the house and then let the boys run wild to find them. Please keep in mind that Hayes is the youngest by two years so the little guy was getting beat finding most eggs! But Cade and Rhett were super sweet (with a little help from the adults of reminding them that Hayes was little and needed to find some too) and shared the hunt. Sari made a great Easter meal and the boys continued to run around like crazy and occasionally go upstairs and play. Then Sari decided to let them all take a bath. Precious is about all I can say. Hayes just thinks that whatever those two do is exactly what he should do, which leads to some funny events. They then got into Sari and Corey's bed to calm down and watch some T.V.

We love these boys!

These are about as close as Hayes has to cousins as he is going to get for awhile! Rhett is convinced that Hayes is his cousin because Sari and I are both from Ada.
